I have just had a consultation with Mr. Hewes so far. He explained carefully what had happened previously and what he expected to do in surgery. I had a list of questions which he managed to answer before I needed to ask them. I feel confident that I will get the best care possible.

My Dad was admitted to Frenchay Hospital under Mr Hewes and his Team. We requested to meet with a doctor for an update on my Dad's case and they did so. We further requested a phone call from a doctor prior to my Dad's discharge and we received one. In the follow up appointment, Mr Hewes answered all our questions clearly. During the whole episode of my Dad's admission, we were happy with the care and treatment he received. They were a great team. Thank you

He showed great concern that there might be a problem but, at this moment in time he assured me that no operation was needed, but any probelms in the future to contact his secretary. He was very pleasant and considerate and also his manner was very friendy.

I found Mr Hewes attentive, interested in my current state of health, clarified results of my tests. Explained what surgery could do for me also highlighted possible downside to an operation. I feel I can now have a better informed discussion with my GP regarding my condition.
